Pastel Landscapes (2021)
To me, the difference between landscape and still life is the weather. A still life is an indoor work and landscape leaves you outside at the risk of the changing weather. Both subjects are a play of colour and texture. Seeing what you are looking at opens the doors to interpreting things in your own style. I never take anything for granted visually. Learning the hard way through total failure to ‘catch’ a landscape makes you learn to never give up looking for the feeling of what you see.
